Duke is estimated to be about 5 years old and is a red and tan male with natural ears and a docked tail. He is up to date on vaccinations (rabies, bordatella, combo), negative for heartworms, negative for intestinal parasites, neutered and microchipped.

When we got the call about Duke from Greenville County AC, there was no question that we had to take him in. As the vet described his injuries…bumps and bruises, a couple puncture wounds, and some vision loss, it was clear he had been though some sort of trauma, that everyone assumes was probably being hit by a car. At the shelter, Duke was a mess and there were concerns that he would have to be put down. Luckily that was not the case and we were able to bring him into rescue. He is healing up nicely with his wounds almost gone and his swelling and vision back to normal. Finally in a safe and happy environment, Duke is just loving the attention. He’s a big leaner and is good on a leash when he’s not stopping and trying to lean on you instead of walking. Overall, he is pretty mellow and would make a wonderful dog for just about any situation.
