Britt is a 1 year old, black and tan, natural eared female Doberman with a docked tail.  She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and negative for heartworms and intestinal parasites.

Poor Britt came to GDR from a shelter south of Atlanta where she had been taken in along with 2 other Dobermans as a neglect case.  When she first arrived in rescue she was incredibly shy and not at all used to the idea of living inside and would desperatly try to stay outside.  Luckily she has an amazing and patient foster who slowly eased her into being an inside dog little by little.  Now Britt, while still shy, is getting used to indoor luxuries.  She loves to play with her foster brother and sister, exploring the yard and chasing each other. She has enjoyed several toys that they’ve given her and has figured out how to really play but also appreciates her quiet time indoors. She is potty trained, but due to her skittish nature has not been introduced to a crate as she has not needed one.  She has done well with the other dogs in the home, but will not be adopted to a home with kids or small animals.  She has done well with the infant in the home, but because her background is unknown and interactions have been limited, we are not comfotable adopting her to a home with small kids.  The best home for Britt would be a quiet home that wants a companion that is playful, but also happy to chill in the house.
