Dillon is a 5 year old black and tan, cropped and docked male Doberman.  He is up to date on vaccinations, negative for intestinal parasites, neutered, and microchipped.  He did test positive for heartworms and is currently undergoing treatment.  He will complete his treatment before going home to his new family.

Poor Dillon came to GDR after he was hit by a car.  His owner went to reclaim him at the shelter, but when he found out he could no longer be bred due to his injuries, he no longer wanted him. When the shelter sked if we would take him, the answer was pretty obvious. Despite all he has been through, Dillon is the sweetest, happiest boy.  His smile could light up a room!  Even on his vet paperwork, his photo has his big, sweet, goofy smile.  He has made a full recovery from his injuries after his surgery, and he is now starting on his heartworm treament.  He has done well with other dogs, mostly ignoring them, and would be a good fit for a home with kids that know and respect a dogs boundaries.  Though we never, ever condone a child climbing on a dog, this is especially important with Dillon due to the injuries he sustained.  He is pretty low key for a Doberman and would do well in an apartment or condo so long as he gets a few walks a day.  He mostly just wants to cuddle and be with his people.
