Layla

Adoption fee: $250

Physical appearance:  Layla is a black and tan female Doberman with cropped ears and a docked tail estimated to be around 10 years old.  She’s a little on the larger side weight about 70 lbs.

Personality:  Layla is as sweet as can be. She gets along with everyone and everything and just wants to be close to you and soak up all your attention. She’ an older girl so she’s not very high energy. She would be great in an apartment or condo and just needs a couple short walks a day. Her current foster has horses and cats and Layla pays them no attention.

Why she’s in rescue:  Poor Layla was found wandering the streets in Alabama. She was found by a Good Samaritan that took her in and searched for her home. After reporting her to animal control yielded no results, she was transferred to rescue. She had multiple memory tumors and was full of worms. The tumors were removed and found to be benign and she’s happy and worm free!

Manners and Training: Layla has perfect house manners. She is potty trained, crate trained and walks pretty well on a leash. She rides well in the car and is just generally easy to have around.

Vetting: All our dogs are brought up to date on rabies, Bordetella, and combo, negative for intestinal parasites and heartworms, spayed and microchipped before adoption.  Layla arrived in rescue with heartworms and is currently undergoing treatment. She will complete treatment before being adopted.
