Physical appearance: Trigger is a black and tan male Doberman with cropped ears and a docked tail. His former owner had him for 9 years, ever since he was a puppy. For a male Doberman, Trigger is quite small, weighing in at about 65 lbs.
Personality: Don’t let his age fool you, Trigger has plenty of energy and LOVES to play. He loves playing ball outside in the yard and is a bit excited both inside and outside. He’s good in the house but sometimes doesn’t know his own size when he gets excited. He would do well with a family who loves to go for walks and runs. He would also do well with older children. Smaller children will likely get knocked over by his goofy exuberance. We are not sure how he is with cats, but he previously lived with a min-pin so he’s good with small dogs. His foster sister is not all that tolerant of other dogs so she’s not a fan of him, but he played well with another younger and more submissive female Doberman.
Why he’s in rescue: Trigger had the same owner since he was a puppy, but with the birth of a newborn baby, they found they just couldn’t give him the time he needed and his energy was too much to be around a tiny baby.
Manners and training: Trigger is crate trained and potty trained and he also knows how to sit. He has good house manners and absolutely loves to hang out with his foster mom be it indoors or out.
Vetting: All of our dogs are brought up to date on rabies, Bordetella, and combo, negative for intestinal parasites and heartworms, neutered and microchipped.
