Vogue

Adoption fee: $375

Physical appearance: Vogue was born on 4/25/21 and is 1 year old.  She is black and tan, with cropped ears that do not stand, and a docked tail.  One of her ears has scaring that looks like posting and taping issues that were not properly treated until too late. She is a bit larger for a female at 75lbs

Personality: Vogue is a true velcro Doberman and loves to be around her people. She is a high energy girl that needs an active family and room to run, so a fence yard is required to adopt her.  She is a goofy puppy that does not know her size, yet and is very smart.  She has learned simple commands and routines very quickly.  She is incredibly food motivated and will learn almost anything if she knows you have food for her.

Why he’s in rescue: Vogue was originally surrendered to an animal shelter for unknown reasons.  She was adopted to a family that did not provide her with the structure and exercise she needs, which resulted in her acting out.  After she nipped at their child, she was returned to rescue.

Manners and training:  Vogue is still in a puppy chewing phase so she needs to be watched closely.  She is crate trained, potty trained, and knows how to sit and sometimes lay down. She needs work on a leash and a consistent and experienced owner will have an easier time with her than someone not experienced with the breed.  She has been around dogs, and cats without any incident but due to nipping at the child in her former home, she will not be adopted to any home with children regardless of Doberman experience. She likes to chase and follow cats around but hasn’t shown any aggression with them, so dog-savvy cats would be ideal as she could terrify a more nervous cat with her playing. An older dog may find her energy to be too much, but Vogue is happy around anyone and anything. She does best when she has a plethora of toys she can chew on at her disposal.

Vetting: All our dogs are brought up to date on rabies, Bordetella, and combo, negative for intestinal parasites and heartworms, spayed and microchipped before adoption.
