Physical appearance: Watson is a black and tan, cropped and docked male Doberman that is about 8 years old. He’s a very big boy weighing in at 92lbs.

Personality: Watson is absolutely the sweetest boy. He does well with all people and just wants to be loved and be by your side. He does great with his 2 foster sisters and loves to pay tug with his foster dad. He has shown no resource guarding or behavioral issues and would do well in a home with just about anything. He will not be homed with any male dogs due to the chance of same-sex aggression.

Why he’s in rescue: Watson was so loved by his owner and he lived happily by her side. Unfortunately, she passed away over Thanksgiving and Watson was brought to the shelter where he heavily grieved his mom’s loss. They took wonderful care of him there, but he needed something more. the shelter reached out and we brought him into rescue.

Manners and training: This boy is a perfect gentleman. He is potty and crate trained, but isn’t destructive so if his new family wanted to leave him out to snooze on the couch, that won’t be a problem. He knows how to sit and walks well on a leash. He also travels well in a car and would be happy to go on day trips with his new family. He is all around a gentle giant.

Vetting: All our dogs are brought up to date on rabies, Bordetella, and combo, negative for intestinal parasites and heartworms, neutered and microchipped before adoption. Despite his age, Watson has not shown any health issues since being in rescue. He did arrive dehydrated from the stress of all his life changes, but he’s recovered beautifully.
